By Terry Do Brows

With brows as bushy as mine when a brand brings out a product that claims to tame, define and rein them in – you listen up. And from mid-August the beauty big guns that are By Terry are turning their attention to those pesky little caterpillars that frame takeover my whole face with two new additions to the line. Coming along as part of the Graphism collection there’s an Eyebrow Liner* offered in two shades for £23 each and an Eyebrow Mascara*, formulated in four colours for £26 each and after giving them both the toughest test of all on my slugs there’s a clear winner that I predict to be a seasoned regular in my daily makeup rotation.

I’ll touch on the not-so-wowed-by product first – the Eyebrow Liner. It features the teeniest tiniest of nibs, in a felt tip pen fashion that can be used to stroke on hair-like lines individually. Now the colour I have in this, 2 Brown, is a tad too dark and unfortunately my heavy handiness just means things can look a little drawn on. But it’s very similar to SUQQU’s version and is much easier to source, so perhaps one to wait for if the SUQQU Eyebrow Pen was topping your wishlist.

Now the one I luuuurve is – yep you’ve guessed it – their Eyebrow Mascara. A tinted gel that grooms, adds a bit of colour and sets your brows in a universal direction in one stroke. From that description it doesn’t sound that special, but having given a fair amount of brow gels a go I can hand on my heart say that this is the best one. Yup, even better than the Anastasia Tinted Brow Gel that formerly reigned supreme. The brush is smaller, so easier to control and not to catch and colour-in all my wayward brows that skirt up to my forehead, and the finish is much glossier, not as drying on the hairs and there’s no crunch (nice!) that can sometimes come along with these kinds of products.

It’ll be a month or so before the new B.T eyebrow offerings make their way onto Space NK counters, but I thought I’d point them out for those lemming for harder-to-find brow beating alternatives. So an eyebrow mascara that I love as much as my eyelash one. Who’d have called that one?
