What I Eat In A Day: The Healthy-ish Edition

…that is until it gets to dessert time

I do apologise for the quality of this video and my last. I filmed them both the day before I went on holiday which is both a glorious day and an extremely stressful one. I’d yet to pack, hadn’t shaved my legs and had fake tanned so poorly that it looked like I’d rolled around in that cheesy dusting they put on wotsits. Mark was working night shifts so I had to spend my day tip-toeing around him and when I’m back we have builders in the flat for a week which means that photo taking and video filming is not gonna happen for a long while. ‘Oh don’t mind me in here, just talking to myself in front of a camera!’

So yes, it was one of those days, but somehow I managed to squeeze out a ‘What I Eat in a Day’ video and it wasn’t just a menu of iced buns (which is basically all I wanted to eat). Instead I rustled up an omelette for breakfast, show you a raw ‘Pad Thai’ recipe for lunch that’s both fresh and filling, get in that afternoon snack, cook-up a hearty dinner that’s from one of my favourite cookbooks and then have dessert. Things are pretty healthy-ish until dessert time, but when it’s a Wednesday and you’re watching Great British Bake Off it’s literally the law that you have to view it whilst consuming sugar in some form.

Of course we all told ourselves that we wanted to be healthy on holiday and instead have consumed approximately one and a half tubes on pringles on a daily basis, each – but that’s what it’s about right? Sun, sea and salty snacks? In the meantime, feast your eyes on this…
