The Weekend Post #6: Christmas Candles

If you follow my blog under an extreme microscope you may have noticed that once a month my blog tends to get a little quiet, this is usually due to my monthly visit from my Boyfriend! Hooray! Quick tip – don’t fall in love with someone at Uni who is doing a 4 year course, when yours is only 3 years yeah ๐Ÿ˜‰ We’ve spent the weekend getting festive! Firstly we popped up my family Christmas tree (read: I put up the Christmas tree while he watched me moving baubles into perfect symmetry)! Then we went into town while I supervised the buying of presents for his female family members – they can thank me later ๐Ÿ˜‰ With him packed off back to Uni, it was time for me to indulge in some serious pampering. I will even admit that I had not washed my hair for 4 days, 4 DAYS people! Even the Batiste couldn’t hide it! While I wallowed in my oil bath, washed my hair, fake tanned and painted my nails I had some scrumptious smelling candles burning that I just had to share…
Pearl Lowe for DP London, Neom Organics Christmas Wish & Yankee Candle Christmas Cookie

Chilling out in my room, watching Youtube beauty videos and burning candles is just one of my favourite things to do in the evening these days – lame but true! I said back when I got 2 candles for my Birthday that I must be getting old, well now my candle collection is in double figures – go figure ๐Ÿ˜‰ These are my 3 favourites to burn this festive season. I blogged about the DP London Candle*, designed by Pearl Lowe a few months back now, but it’s still a personal favourite – the outer packaging gorgeous, it definitely sits proudly on my dressing table, and the spiced punch scent is giving a Christmasy touch to my room. Probably one of the biggest candles I have ever seen is the Neom Organics 3 Wick Candle in Christmas Wish*, it is seriously huge! A delicious blend of cinnamon, ginger, mandarin and tonka bean, I’m not sure I will ever burn this to the bottom. Finally, my favourite out of the bunch has to be the Yankee Candle in Christmas Cookie. Whereas the other 2 are more spicy whiffs, this is sickly sweet and I love it! It’s basically a warming vanilla scent with the slightest hint of spice. I can see me having to buy a back-up of this to burn throughout the year as it’s fast becoming a bit of a tradition for me to come home and burn this after a long day at work! Perhaps I’ll just have to see what Father Christmas brings ๐Ÿ˜‰
Much Love,
