The Three Minute Face Mask

IMG_0812Face masks is one of the few skincare categories left that I still like to dabble in. I feel like I’ve got most of my complexion support team in place, but I’m always game for trying out a new mask. Right now, my pores are being a little troublesome. I’ve recently switched up some medication and it’s causing some pimple and textural issues, especially round my chin. This means that when it comes to my skincare I’m having to adapt it slightly and go down the ‘detox‘ route around the jawline. Right now, the Estée Lauder NightWear Plus 3 Minute Detox Mask is giving the bottom third of my face a bit of TLC.

This skincare newbie is a light cream that once applied turns into a clay mask; rinse it off after three minutes and my skin just feels refreshed – a little less angry looking and a little smoother in texture. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling tight or dry after rinsing and works well after cleansing as a bit of extra cleaning step. It says to use it twice a week, but I’ve been throwing it on almost daily just around my chin and have nothing but good things to report. So if your skin isn’t best pleased right now and you fancy something speedy to put it in its place, then this might be something to look into. Plus, using it on your chin means you can wander in on your boyfriend every night and go ‘Hey look – I have a beard like you!‘. It’s the little things, eh?

  • I’ve heard of these 3 minutes masks, I have a sample of one from Kate Somerville. I need to break open that sample and try it!!

  • I seem to have a little addiction to face masks right now & this sounds right up my street! 🙂

This sounds great! I’m having a bit of thing with face masks at the moment and have just started using Oskia’s Renaissance mask which I absolutely adore! This certainly sounds up my street for those pesky pimples that like to read their ugly heads! Thanks for the recommendation!

  • I got a small sample from Sephora and have been liking it!

  • Haha I think most can’t help but pull a funny face or pretend to have a beard–face masks always look a bit ridiculous but are worth it in the end (for the most part). I’ve been using the Origins Clear Improvement Mask as I’ve needed one that’s a little more intensive for my chin/nose area.

I usually just pop the odd face mask on my chin as well, my chin is a problem area for me so I find it’s always the angriest and benefits the most from masks like this. Love that this mask is only a 3 minute one as well!
