The Only Way Is Blogging + FOTD

Suzie, My Sister & Me (yes we look nothing alike, but look we both share the big brow trait!)

If there is one good thing about blogging, aside from the interaction with readers and other bloggers it’s meeting other bloggers in real life (or ‘IRL’ if you are feeling cool). So I was pretty over the moon to attend the 2nd ‘The Only Way Is Blogging’ event this past Saturday. If you are not familiar with the concept it is an afternoon for bloggers arranged by London Beauty Queen (who is a blogger herself), full of informative talks, Q&A sessions and demonstration from brands. It is open to anyone – no invite needed – all different types of bloggers attend! Having attended the first TOWIB a few months back now, I was really excited for the second one which promised to be bigger and better and it sure delivered!
The day started off with a presentation from the guys at FashionistA who did some fantastic makeovers on GeorginaAnnabel and Gem, got a wicked palette from them as well which I will show you at a later date. FashionistA are destined to be the MAC of the high-street. Then there were some great informative talks from Faye, who spoke about HTML and Zoe and Lily who shed some light on photography and blogging. Tesco-based budget beauty brand VIVO also did some really pretty wearable makeovers, I loved the one they did on Steph! The day cumulated in a general Q&A sesh with ZoeLily and Hayley (the lovely lady who arranged the whole thing), they did a great job answering all the questions fired at them! Overall I had a lovely time, and I met so many gorgeous bloggers, they really are a lovely bunch! Special mentions have to go to YuGeorginaSuzieGem & Siobhan who I spent most of the day with ,they had me in stitches –  funny girls 😉
For the trip I brought my sister with me, which was very entertaining! She found the whole concept a little strange, me meeting up with my ‘Internet Friends’ and all that, but her main purpose was to come along with her bezza Suzie who has her own blog (it’s awesome and it’s called Hello October). Although  Suzie and I tried our hardest, my sis is adamant that she will never start her own blog! Boooo! Ah well, some lovely person snapped a picture of us all together and thought it would be a great chance to give you guys a little FOTD 🙂

I kept the makeup really simple, nothing too crazy and used products that I knew would hold up well in flash photography (yep, I thought ahead!). I even used eyeliner for the first time in yonks, and I actually quite liked it – I didn’t draw all the way in as I have quite small eyes, but I kept a little wing at the outer corner. There are a few products that I used here that I will be posting about soon as I have been LOVING them, so keep an eye out for that!
