Pink Cheeks & Lashes

I’m afraid it’s yet another minimal product FOTD! What I am like? I blame this on my eyelash extensions – I absolutely love them, they make me look ‘done’ without a spot of makeup on so I really don’t feel the need to slap too much on. In fact I’ve only been applying foundation where I need some extra coverage on the centre of my face, which is unheard of for me. Of course I’m absolutely terrified of them falling out, I’ve heard some real horror stories, but like I said I’ll do a full review once they all do, but for the moment they’ve been in for three and a half weeks and they’re still going strong!

On the rest of my face I’ve been lightly applying Jemma Kidd Light As Air Foundation in the shade 3 and a bit of the By Terry Touche Veloutee Concealer in Beige under my eyes and around the corners of my nose. For my eyebrows and eyelashes I have just been combing them through with a brow comb, not putting mascara on is seriously saving me some time in the mornings. My favourite bit of this makeup has to be the cheeks; ever since I got the Laura Mercier Lush Nectarine Second Skin Cheek Colour my love for blushers has been reignited and I’ve been rediscovering some absolute crackers in my collection. My newest favourite is the Stila Convertible Colour in Gerbera, it’s a pretty peachy pink that’s nice and warm toned so it sits well with my skintone. It’s a cream formula and leaves a gorgeous glossy sheen on the cheeks – no need for a highlighter at all. On the lips I’ve just been throwing on the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in the shade 2 and out the door I trot.

I think this might be an all time record for a FOTD – 4 products! But like I said in my case eyelash extensions have made me reach for rather minimal makeup and I have to say I’m quite liking the flushed blush look. So what have you ladies been using this week? Any cream blush recommendations?
