Pai Skincare are a brand that have been quietly chugging away in my skincare and bodycare routine for the past couple of years. They first featured here all they way back in 2013 (check out that high-quality post here *sarcasm intended*) and since I’ve flitted between various different products, always being impressed with whatever I’ve tried, be it a cleanser or a clarifying mask.

Here’s the thing to note though – Pai Skincare as a brand, are just good eggs. All products are made here in the U.K, they’re all vegan and cruelty-free and the ingredients used are all up to spec, with all the usual suspect bad boys removed, making the line a good choice for those with sensitive ol’ complexions. For all those reasons it’s the brand I point friends in the direction of whenever they need a range that works well with angry skin types or a recommendation for cruelty-free skincare. So if you’re in need of a skincare shake-up then here’s what I’d recommend filling your boots with…

Pai Skincare Camellia & Rose Gentle Hydrating Cleanser. I’m finding myself leaning towards more cream cleanser formulas, rather than oil-based ones, especially in the summer months when my skin is churning out sebum like it’s going out of fashion. This massages into my skin well and I feel my complexion reaches optimum levels of baby bum softness when I remove it with a muslin cloth.

Pai Skinacre Lotus & Orange Blossom BioAffinity Skin Tonic. We all know the most important feature of any facial spritz are it’s misty abilities and this one certainly passes the test. I don’t feel drenched, nor do I have to get within a 2 cm distance of it to feel the effects. The scent of this is perfect for long summer afternoons where you feel like 6pm is never going to come; so I like to keep it desk side and hydrate with it throughout the day.

Pai Skincare Chamomile & Rosehip Calming Day Cream. Like my extreme hairiness, I also have inherited my Father’s ruddy complexion, so I’m always down for anything with ‘calming‘ in the product description. Sometimes I find that my skin can look a bit fiery after I’ve done my skincare routine, but I have no such issues with this.

Pai Skincare Kukui & Jojoba Bead Skin Brightening Exfoliator. I’m often wary of manual exfoliators, however this sloughs away all my rough old dry bits, without me feeling like I’ve gone to town on my face with a piece of brand-new sandpaper. It’s also micro-bead free (WHOOP!), instead biodegradable jojoba beads that do the job.

Pai Skincare Rosehip BioRegenerate Rapid Radiance Mask. I first used this product years ago and still stand by the radiance-boosting results. Unlike other marks of the same ilk that can cause irritation, I get no redness with this and I actually feel pretty hydrated once it’s removed and done it’s thang.

Pai Skincare Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil. This is one of my all-time favourite oils, let alone my top pick from Pai Skincare. This is the product that I mentioned in that original post four years ago and it has definitely stood the test of time. It’s such a great quality oil, for a great price (£22!) and a bottle will last you forever. *dusts off a very old and sad looking bottle that it’s probably time to part ways with*

Pai Skincare Gentle Genius Camellia & Bergamot Body Wash. When it comes to shower gels, I usually end up secretly lathering up with whatever Mark has on the go, however this stuff has changed my mind and I’m keeping it all to my self. Not only is this formula sulphate-free and suitable for very sensitive skins (Hello Psoriasis!), it almost feels like I’ve already moisturised when I step out of the shower. I foam it up with a Konjac sponge which creates a texture that feels silky and hydrating on the skin (side note: it’s a good one to shave with). Plus if you grab it on their website now, Pai Skincare will throw in a mini version and the sponge for free.

Pai Skincare Comfrey & Calendula Calming Body Cream. Although it’s technically called a cream, I find this to be more of a buttery texture. It’s rich and gives a good dose of moisture to the skin, without feeling like you should be put into the oven to crisp up. I like it best used on freshly shaved legs and with just-off-the line PJ’s. That’s my dream bedtime right there.
