New Things: Sleek & Liz Earle

Hope everybody is enjoying the second day of the Bank Holiday! I’m having a lazy day, recovering after a much needed night out yesterday, so I thought it was a nice time to share some of the hottest products being released this Autumn. Let’s face it, it’s practically Autumn already, we haven’t really even had a Summer this year – boooo! First up is the Sleek ‘Nude’ Collection, due to be launched this upcoming Wednesday (31st August) in Superdrug’s across the UK and on their website, but don’t panic as it’s an addition to their permanent line – phew! Comprising of 3 products, embracing neutral tones and warm hues, this collection just screams ‘sell-out!’. Reviews of this collection have been done to death in the blogging world, so I will keep mine short and sweet πŸ˜‰ Of course, people are going to go crazy for the 12-piece ‘Au Natural’ eyeshadow palette, these palettes have become a bit of a collectors item in the beauty world and always seem to hit the spot. As people have already said, the top row of shadows lack in pigmentation, which is a shame as those more softer shades would be ones that I would wear on a daily basis, however the bottom row packs serious punch and will make some fab crease shades. I’m a massive fan of their Pout Polishes, and I was early awaiting the release of this nude shade called ‘Bare Minimum’, but it seriously lacks any type  of colour to it at all, and should be seen as more of a tinted lipbalm, if that! The stand-out of the collection for me, is one that has been overlooked by many and is the blush in ‘Suede’; when I first saw it I thought of NARS Madly, and although the two are comparable Suede has much more of a brown tone to it and lacks the shimmer of Madly. But dusted over the checks Suede adds such a pretty warmth, it’s almost one of those double blush and contour shades so will be great for rushed mornings! Suede is definitely my top pick from the new collection πŸ™‚

Another new release, comes from Liz Earle and is their ‘3 years in the making’ Sheer Skin Tint, which will be available from September 15th. I was sent the shade 02 – Beige to try, the ‘medium’ shade if you will, as there will be 3 colours released – 01 Bare, 02 Beige and 03 Beach (I have to say I do kinda love the names). You have probably seen this EVERYWHERE, I do feel that perhaps Liz Earle have been slightly too all-encompassing in their Blogger PR campaign, but I guess it’s good for you the reader as it means you have lots of reviews to read before you decide whether to purchase or not. I have only used it twice so far, so can only give it a mini-review at this time. This is touted at Liz Earle’s answer to a tinted moisturiser, but I have to say this for me lies somewhere in between that and a foundation. The formula is pretty thick and gives a decent coverage, not too much, but just enough to even out my skintone. Definitely something that will be travelling with me on my upcoming trip abroad. Review pending πŸ™‚

So there you have it! A mini-round up of new things to come from Sleek and good ol’ Liz Earle πŸ™‚ Are you going to try and get your hands on these? Thoughts?
