There’s a video all about my motivation tips and tricks in the works and coming soon (those in the midst of revising – I got ya!). As I went through and planned it I realised that for me, especially when it comes to fitness, Instagram is a huge part of giving myself a metaphorical kick up the rear to actually get down to the gym. I follow all sorts of accounts of Instagram – friends, foodie, fashion – but the bulk of them are fitness related and I have to say that nothing gets me more in the mood to sweat than some tanned bikini babe doing a headstand in the sand. So today I thought I’d share my recommendations on who to follow fitness-wise on Instagram. Give ’em a follow and you’ll be putting on your trainers in no time…

@CarlyRowena – Carly is just such a babe and having had the chance to meet her in person, I can hand on my heart say that she is as beautiful inside as she is out. Also her butt is beautifully peachy and whenever I see I just want to prod it. I also want every pair of leggings that she owns.

@Clean_Eating_Alice – You might have seen me harping on about Alice’s new book ‘The Body Bible‘ on my Snapchat – it’s fab – and her Instagram is just as good. This is where I come to for hearty, but healthy meal inspiration. For some reason I always leave wanting poached egg and asparagus.

@FitWithElWorkouts/@Fit_With_El – Elliot is an Australian-based all round fitness gal and recently I’ve really been enjoying her new workout account where she posts videos of her routines in the gym and mini circuits you can do. They’re fab if you fancy doing something different in the gym; I’ve definitely picked up some new moves.

@Kayla_Itsines – If you even just begin to scratch the surface of the fitness world on Instagram, you’ll come across Kayla and her BBG crew. Now I’m personally not a huge fan of her Bikini Body Guides (I’ve tried to give them a go so many times and can never get through a whole one), but I enjoy the sense of community and love seeing people’s transformations because I’m a nosey bugger like that.

@Madeleine_Shaw_ – You know I’m a huge fan of Madeleine’s cookbooks and I’m always scrolling through her Instagram feed too. To me she gives off a nice warm and fuzzy fitness vibe that’s got a big focus on wellbeing and just looking after yourself. I’m always trotting off to her website when she posts delicious looking pictures.

@Mrs_Can_DoThis is my sister! And yep, she’s a machine. She got into fitness too at the beginning of year and is currently beating me in our competition to be able to do unassisted pull-ups. She mainly posts videos and stills from her gym workouts and I love seeing what she’s getting up too. She also has a ridiculously peachy booty so I pay particular attention to her glute routines.

@Shona_Vertue – It’s rare to find someone that’s equally into yoga as much as they are into resistance training so I was over the moon when I found Shona through Madeleine’s Glow Guides app. She’s bendy and strong and badass. I enjoy her pep-talks and would love to make it down to one of her classes or retreats one day.

@The_Southern_Yogi – I follow a load of yogis on Instagram, but I’d say that Morgan is my favourite. Now this lady has a core of steel and her inversions are beautiful – she makes it look easy – but she also shows her goofs too and has one of the best legging collections around.

@ZannaVanDijk ZANNA! Zanna is my fave. I bloody love Zanna. I follow her on everything (and highly recommend her Snapchat – Zanzapan) and I find her drive, work ethic and relationship with fitness so inspiring and motivating. She’s also a fellow Virgo so is ridiculously organised and she’s the Queen of booty building. I’m hoping we can get a workout date in the diary soon so she can do some booty building on my behind.
