Giorgio Armani Fluid Sheers

You know those ‘do-it-all’ stash staple formulas? Well say hello to the new foundation radiance-ramper, cheekbone chiseller and all-round glow giver in town – Giorgio Armani’s Fluid Sheers*. This month sees the original quintuple line-up be joined by seven new shades designed to be used in countless ways – you know the drill of these by now. Often I overlook products that promise too much – find one good use for them and stick to what I know, not fully utilising their multi-tasking nature. But after having a run-through of these on counter I’ve been suckered into their chameleon-like ways. Let’s mull over some scenarios. I’ve been mixing one part of the creamy gold 1 with two parts of my Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation to create a more daytime friendly, sheered out base. A slightly less traditional option is 5, a coral shimmer which I witnessed be pressed over the cheeks, mixed in with lipgloss and blended lightly into the eye sockets to marry all the makeup together. Yep – as an eyeshadow. Seems crazy, but it worked. I’m struggling to make the deep pinked bronze shade 12, work for me but on darker skintones this would blend beautifully over the cheekbones for a warmed-up hue.

The deats? £34.50 for 30ml a piece from Selfridges; it’s not the most purse friendly luminous lovin’ option but I do struggle to see how someone would manage to use up a whole bottle of this age old ‘little goes a long way’ stuff. I’ll be mixing my own sandblasted-looking skin concoctions for years to come.
