Ahhh stress. That old foe that makes your stomach feel twisted, your breath feel shallow and your head full of a million and one ‘to-do’ list items. We’ve all been there. For me, I suffer with the ‘There’s not enough hours in the day! Why can’t there be 25?‘ panic. Previously, in these moments I didn’t know where to start and would end up procrastinating. Four hours later I’d emerge from a Try Guys marathon, slightly more humoured, but with even more panic and guilt thrown in. In recent weeks though, since everything from the move has fallen into place I’ve found a few methods that have chilled me right out and I’ve had some of my most productive days in a long while. So today I thought I’d share my top techniques for feeling like less of a Monica and more of a Phoebe…

Have a watch of the video above for all my tips, but the one I thought I’d have a little ramble about today is the newest one I’ve found and it’s the RITUALS App. There are a load of functions to play with, but my favourite is the ‘Relax’ section, where there are three guided mediations to choose from, each ranging in length from 5 minutes to 20 minutes. In each you’re asked to sit comfortably, close your eyes, breathe and take a moment for yourself. The Relax Your Body mood is perfect after a stressful day and I find that it helps to soothe any aches and niggles, the Relax Your Mind teaching is probably my favourite and is nice for if you’re feeling stressed and anxious, especially when travelling and the Enjoy the Moment mediation is a great one to start with in the morning to get your headspace nice and clear. All you need is a pair of headphones if you’re in a loud environment and you’re good to go.

You can download the RITUALS App here and visit RITUALS.com/app for more information. Give it a go and then drop me a tweet using #MyRituals to let me know how you’ve got on. You’ll be feeling like more of a Phoebe in a matter of minutes…
