Pretty Pouts and a Paris Meet-Up

Five things

It’s time to bundle together the best of beauty from the past seven days. Edited down to five of the top products, videos, posts, releases and the rest that have had me clicking away:

1. Stocking up on Allure. With a bit of downtime scheduled over the next month I started my preparation weeks ago. To avoid sitting poolside without anything decent to peruse I buy my favourite magazines, hide them and then save them till I go away. I currently have three issues of Allure and two of ELLE that are untouched and I can’t bloomin’ wait, so much so that I’ll probably be reading them on the way to the airport.

2. The longest lasting liner ever. I think that accolade goes to the Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Crayon. With a great colour range – my favourite is Brown(Out) – it’s a texture that starts of creamy, but one it dries it’s almost impossible to remove. Like, seriously. I can sense my collection of these getting a bit out of hand.

3. Bringing back the berry lip. There is just something about a berry lip that says ‘I don’t normally wear a bold lip, but I just woke up with this on’. The natural tones make it a safe choice for those who usually like to keep it neutral with their pouts, it’s all just a little less in your face than a red and this week I’ve been feeling it. Check out my favourites here.

4. Dior’s new foundation drop. It’s called their Diorskin Star Foundation and early reviews have got me excited. It’s exclusive to Debenhams as I type and with claims of a lightweight feel, decent coverage and a naturally sheeny finish I’m already sold. Anyone tried it? Do I need it? Enable me…

5. Sephora Dreaming and a Paris Meet-up. Today is the day that Lily and I head to Paris and in true beauty junkie tradition I predict that the first place we’ll head to will be a Sephora. Ah common’ – you know us. We’re only here for the weekend, but we’re hoping to say bonjour to some of you Parisian lot while we’re over – 4pm this afternoon by the boating pond in the Jardin des Tuileries sound ok?
