Snapchat Tales & The Perfect Contour Powder for Fair Complexions

Background

It’s time to bundle together the best of beauty, fashion and everything in between from the past seven days. All edited down to five of the top products, videos, posts, releases and the rest that have had me clicking away…

1. Urban Decay’s Sin. I’ve always known Urban Decay Sin as an eyeshadow colour in the original Naked Palette, but it’s now it’s a shade of their newly released Afterglow Highlighter in their summer range. The colour is a little paler and peachier than I’d usually reach for, but I’ve been using it a load whilst I’ve been in L.A because I’m a tad more tanned than usual (emphasis on the ‘tad‘). A nice purchase from a solid summer launch.

2. SNAPCHAT! I’m back and I’m 100% obsessed with it. If you want to see what I get up to on a pretty much daily basis then my account is ViviannaMakeup. I love it because it’s the perfect place to vlog in a really quick and speedy way when you haven’t got time to grab your camera and post pictures that aren’t really pretty enough for Instagram. It’s the best of both worlds here and I’ve been snapping all my California adventures if you want to get a sneak peek before I pop up a vlog next week.

3. The Festival Boot. In previous years as an observer of Coachella, I thought that everyone wore boots just to look cool but actually it’s more of a necessity than a fashion statement because otherwise you would end up going home with enough sand and dirt on your feet to open up a mini beach resort. I’ve been loving the Topshop Kit Fringe Boots which have a subtle nod to fringing, are flat, comfortable and although they make your feet sweat a tonne they don’t end up rubbing.

4. The Perfect Contour Powder for Fair Complexions. I mean really, I should say there’s now the perfect contour powder for all complexions, because the Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder now comes in three colours – Light, Medium and Deep. WHOOP! Finally! Someone tweeted me about it a couple of weeks ago and I thought it was a vicious rumour but it’s true. I’m so deliriously chuffed. I’ve given the Light shade a go and its a little paler, less grey toned and more honey-esque than the original so great for beginners or fairer skinned guys and gals.

5. California – Here We Coooooommmmmme. I have to say I bloody love California. I’ve spent the first part of the week in the West Hollywood area of L.A and now I’m in Palm Springs and it’s just lush. The weather! The people! The views! I’m hoping to come back here later in the year and do a bit of a road trip up the West Coast with Mark. Anyone tried that? Have any travel plan/hotel recommendations?
