Dior Glow Maximizer Light Boosting Primer

It’s time for all other glow-inducing primers in town to bow down because there’s a new skin perfecting dewy-fier in town, courtesy of Dior’s latest drop and it’s bloomin’ beautiful. It’s named the Dior Glow Maximizer Light Boosting Primer and inside the pump topped tube is held some of the most luminous looking liquid I’ve ever seen. The brief follows similar lines to the BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector, claiming to brighten the complexion and create a radiance-enhanced base for the rest of your makeup menu. And for the most part it does what it says on the tin with the pearl liquid creating a luminous finish that foundations sit beautifully on top of or get mixed in with for an oomph-ed up finish.

Here’s why this one is different. When it says it’s glowy, it means glowy. I don’t think I’ve ever used a formula that makes things so sheeny. An overzealous application one day, paired with my CHANEL Vitalumiere Aqua made things look so bright I had to use a powder. A powder people, that never happens. So the key is to go in light handed with this and apply only where need. But boy is it a beaut and for lacklustre winter days this is the perfect anecdote.

Coming in around £5 cheaper than its direct BECCA competitor – the Dior Glow Maximizer Light Boosting Primer took me back £28 from Selfridges – it’s just an all-round win win. Just prepare for things to get well dewy.
