Coco-nutty, Co-Washing and Charlotte Tilbury Newness

It’s time to bundle together the best of beauty from the past seven days. Edited down to five of the top products, videos, posts, releases and the rest that have had me clicking away:

1) MAC Pre-Made Palettes. Dang would you look at that? After years of pondering how to fill our 15-strong Pro Palettes, MAC are making the tough decision for us. Offering two options, both neutral of course, with a cooler line-up and a warm range of shadows and as expected they’re pretty drool-worthy. Though it takes part of the excitement away they come in at around half the price of putting 15 colours together yourself. You into it?

2) Rimmel Salon Pro Nail Polish in Oh, Mr Darcy! I love me a good nude and Rimmel’s latest addition to their Salon Pro line that I’ve declared my passion for before hits the nail on the head. Slightly buff, slightly beige it should be illegal for nail polishes to be made without this wide-set, one stroke wonder brush. Plus I think it’s a dupe for one of my favourite CHANEL shades; testing in progress…

3) Coconut Oil as deodorant? XoVain writer Wendy Rose Gould says that after slapping a layer of Coconut Oil under her pits each morning she’s never smelt so good. I’ve got a big ol’ tub of Coconut Oil in my drawer, I’ve got armpits (really sweaty ones at that) – dare I test her theory?

4) Newness to Charlotte Tilbury. There is lots of newness from Charlotte Tilbury in the pipeline that I got to have a snoop at last week. Bronze goddess inspired, Ibiza Sirens Collection aside that does what it says on the tin and should be seen on counters June time, I’m actually all over her Rock ‘n’ Kohl Liquid Eye Pencil’s that come the end of April will be out in four brand spanking new shades. My favourite is Veruschka Mink, a colour which Charlotte dubs ‘the new black’. Expect an ode soon.

5) Co-washing. So it appears that I’m a little late to the party on this one. Washing your hair with conditioner sans shampoo has been a regime used for years for the curly-haired among us, but with conditioners coming in lighter textures than ever before it appears us straighter-haired lasses can now get in on the action too. Has anyone ever given it a go? A quick google reveals nothing but raves for the method which tempts me…
