Beauty Swag

Although you may be working for free, one benefit to being a Beauty PR Intern is that when cosmetics samples get sent to office and get passed round, if no one takes claim of them then they are yours! Luckily this happened to me today with 3 separate products! I could barely stop the smile cracking from ear-to-ear 😉 And no your eyes do not deceive you – two Jemma Kidd products and a rather expensive face serum from the luxury brand SkinCeuticals! I have been desperate to try out some Jemma Kidd products for months now, so when these two babies came my way, I instantly staked my ownership! On the right we have the ‘In Vogue Perfect Blush in 03 – 5th Avenue’, a pretty mosaic of 4 pretty pink blushes of both shimmery and matte finishes. To be honest, I haven’t swirled my finger in it yet as it just too looks pretty, but the colours seem kind of NARS ‘Orgasm-y’ to me. The other Jemma Kidd product is what really caught my eye – the ‘Perfect Tan Bronzing Trio’. I’m a bit of a bronzer girl and sometimes just rely on that as my sole cheek product to give my face a bit of dimension, and I have to say I have never owned a ‘striped’ cheek product before – actually that is a lie, I owned a Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick that I lost in some club toilets! But the colours of this really appeal to me, they look so natural, not orange at all, just very brown and neutral toned. The last thing I managed to get my hands on was the SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF Prevent Serum for normal/combination skin. It is a a high-performance, broad-action antioxidant serum that is instructed to be used after cleansing. It sounds amazing, but the clincher – it costs £142! WOW! I am massively into skincare so I can’t wait to see how this compares to my Origins Mega-Mushroom Advanced Face Serum, which has ever so conveniently run out 😉 Oh I want to take my makeup off now and use it – right I’m off!
