A One Minute Facial

IMG_3141

Face masks are probably one of my favourite categories spanning the world of beauty products. One of the more ‘instant‘ ways to perk up the complexion, they get to work and deliver results seriously fast. However, whenever I realise my skin isn’t looking like its normal ‘kinda dull, but I’ll just whack on the highlighter’ self I always realise that it’s because it’s been well over a few weeks since I last used one of my trusty masks. That’s the thing – masks take time – and that’s something that is a little lacking in my life right now (I type as I sit here at 1.30am in the morning bundled up in Mark’s dressing gown). That’s where REN’s latest release comes in…

Flash Rinse 1 Minute Facial is the name, complexion clearing in record time is the game. An exfoliating formula containing water activated stabilised Vitamin C. You apply the slightly gritty, mint coloured, toothpaste looking formula to skin (I use it after cleansing) and then get your hands wet and massage it in further before leaving it to sit on the skin for one minute then washing it off. It’s all over very quickly and afterwards my skin looks polished and sorta reflective (but in the non greasy way, promise). I’m currently using it every three days or so and continue after with my usual skincare routine. The blurb said it removes oxidised darkened sebum, a.k.a) blackheads – whoop whoop! I suffer with a few on my chin and things have definitely looked a little clearer since this came into play. The winning point for me though is that it’s gentle enough to slough away in the morning without making me look like a beetroot for the first part of the day. Great for when you need a dose of radiance after a late one or an early morn. I’ll be using this tomorrow morning then…

The only spanner in an otherwise beautiful works? It’s not out for release until September, so I apologise for being such a cock tease here. It will be £32 when it hits shelves and I’m sure by then I’ll be in need of a repurchase, so I’ll meet you at the the front of the line, yeah?
