2013 Favourites: Skin, Hair & Bodycare

So it’s time for the second serving of my ‘Best of 2013’ series. Last time I covered the makeup, tools and nail bumf that floated my boat last year, so today I’m venturing into new ground with my go-tos from my skincare, haircare and body care stashes. Now I tried desperately to keep it short and snappy. And I failed. I threw in one too many anecdotes and to halt the thing from being an editing nightmare kept it pretty lengthly; so if you’re short on time then I’ve summarised the highlights for you:

Bumble and Bumble Surf Foam Wash Shampoo and Creme Rinse Conditioner: I’ve always been a little lost in the haircare category, but since these two products launched back in May they’ve basically ruled my lock loving roost exclusively. A duo that cleanse and condition, leaving just the right touch of texture. My OTP.

Oribe Dry Texturising Spray: Well common? You knew this would be in here. My daily hair ‘juzch-er’ of choice, I don’t leave the house for extended periods of time without a spray of this through my roots and lengths first or without my mini bottle of the stuff in my bag. I think I’ll leave the rave there.

Therapie Himalayan Detox Salts: I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, a sprinkle of these salts sown into your evening soak guarantees a good night’s sleep. With a scent that knocks me out, the salts work their magic and after a 20 minute dip I feel so darn relaxed.

Keihl’s Ultra Light Daily Moisturiser SPF 50: 2013 was the year I stepped up my daily SPF usage and when I found this one it was love at first sight. Lightweight and easily absorbed it doesn’t mess up ad-hoc makeup application and never feels greasy on my sometimes combination complexion.

For the best of the rest then watch the video above. You may wish to grab a cuppa first. It’s a hefty one.
